The Ravens’ offense was a tough watch against Cincinnati, and after going through every snap, I’m not buying the idea that Derrick Henry is suddenly washed. There are much bigger problems with this run game, starting with an offensive line that isn’t moving bodies, questionable blocking assignments and a scheme that doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. Henry finished with just 45 rushing yards despite generating 51 yards after contact. That should tell you something about what’s happening in front of him.
In this episode of After The Tape, we’re digging into the film to figure out where things are going wrong. We’ll look at the Ravens’ struggles running both zone and gap concepts, some concerning decisions in pass protection and why the offense continues to look so dependent on Lamar Jackson. There were a few positives, particularly Zay Flowers and Ja’Kobi Lane, but there’s plenty for Declan Doyle and this coaching staff to figure out.
