FILM ROOM: Why the Ravens Defense Fell Apart in the Second Half

Baltimore's simulated pressures had Joe Burrow struggling early, but one adjustment changed everything.

The Ravens defense had Joe Burrow struggling in the first half. He completed just 6 of 12 passes for 43 yards, no touchdowns and a 56.6 passer rating. A lot of that came down to how Baltimore was executing its simulated pressures. The Ravens were doing a good job disguising where pressure was coming from, forcing Burrow to hold onto the football and work through his reads. His average time to throw was 3.56 seconds, and the film backs up why that number was so high.
