The first preseason outing has come and gone for the Ravens, and the content train for Baltimore Film Breakdown has begun moving ahead towards a full steam pace. With not much news to break down from a slow Sunday in the afterglow of game one, let’s take a quick look at everything we’ve put out, and get you caught up on all things Ravens football to get your week started.

In yesterday’s Opening Drive, Cole had the pleasure of actual game film to offer analysis on, and he opened things up by looking at some risers and fallers based on what we saw on Saturday night. Some of the risers (Ja’Kobi Lane, Vega Ioane) were fairly obvious ones, but there were some pleasant surprises that made the list, like rookie QB Joe Fagnano. There are also some players we’ll want to see more from moving forward like Aeneas Peebles, who’s going to be relied upon at a thin position.

FILM ROOM: The Debut of Vega Ioane

Our first live fire film room of 2026 features Cole making the video he’s been waiting all offseason for: a look at the debut of Ravens’ first round pick, Vega Ioane. This is one you don’t want to miss, as Ioane (the highest picked offensive lineman for Baltimore since Ronnie Stanley in 2016) was expected to look like every bit the part in his first time officially suiting up for the team. While there were some things to clean up, the highly pedigreed youngster lived up to the billing with a clean outing that included one or two highlight reel moments - check out the above video to get the full rundown.

For a general readup on how the game played out, and what some of the high and low moments were, look no further then Cole’s game notes that provides the full picture. Read through the above article for a look at this game in all three phases, providing some general analysis on offense, defense, and special teams.

As far as pivot points on this roster, there may not be a more high profile competition for the starting role than at the center position. Jake sat down to take a look at the starter in this game (and potential starter for the regular season), Danny Pinter. He came away pretty impressed by what he saw, and ran through five clips of some positives, and some things for the seventh year veteran to work on.

ICYMI: Kyle Youmans Joins the Baltimore Film Breakdown Podcast

In case you missed last week’s bonus podcast episode, Jake was joined by new play-by-play voice of the Ravens, Kyle Youmans. If you watched the game on WBAL, you got to hear Kyle make his debut on air in the new role he was hired for this offseason - for some color on how he got there, be sure to check out the above interview if you haven’t already.

This Week’s Schedule

Moving forward into the week, you’ll have several pieces of film content from Cole hitting your inboxes today, with individual videos on Ja’Kobi Lane, Elijah Sarratt, and Matthew Hibner on the way. Also stay tuned to the podcast feed, as Jake and Spenny will be hopping into the studio mid-week to break down what they saw from this game, and determine where things with this roster stand after a strong opening outing for much of the team.

Baltimore Film Breakdown will return soon with more fresh content.
